Indian 2: Project not shelved, New schedule to commence soon

Indian 2, the sequel movie to the hugely successful Indian, has been in the news of late for wrong reasons. From pending production designs to actor woes, the project has been problem-ridden throughout.

The most recent reports or rumors to be specific, regarding the movie have been about it being shelved. Owing to disagreements between director Shankar and Lyca Productions, the project was rumored to be called off.

Other speculations also claimed that since the filmmaker failed to quote the actual budget of the film, the production house decided to walk out.

A few of the gossip columns even declared that Lyca Productions was influenced to walk out of Indian-2 by the losses incurred in through 2.0.

However, an official spokesperson from Lyca Productions stepped in at the right time to put an end to all the false information. The spokesperson ensured that the project is still very much on cards and has been the proceeding smoothly.

According to the source, the unit has in fact managed to complete two massive schedules and is currently waiting for schedule III’s set-work to be completed. Once things are underway again, there wouldn’t be any more breaks.

The film is being shot in Gokulam Studios and Memorial Hall, Chennai. Kajal Aggarwal stars opposite Kamal Hassan and the film is slated to release at the end of the year.
