Kannada film KGF is being made as a two-part series and the second edition, titled ‘KGF Chapter 2’ is currently under production. Chapter 1 of the series was incredibly successful, after being released simultaneously in five different languages.
Yash, the leading man of the film, became hugely popular across the country after the movie’s release. The actor traversed a path, similar to that of Prabhas, in becoming a known face all around.
Prashant Neel, the writer-director of the film, too saw great success. The filmmaker is supposed to have met with Prabhas and pitched an idea for a film. There have been no further comments on this matter.
According to latest reports, KGF’s makers have apparently approached Sanjay Dutt to play the main antagonist’s part in Chapter 2. Sanjay Dutt has almost agreed to the role, with a few minor matters pending to be solved.
Yash has agreed to the fact that Sanjay Dutt was indeed approached for the villain’s part. Dutt was also offered Chapter 1 as well but things could not materialize at the time due to his unavailability.
If Sanjay Dutt does play the role, it’ll be his debut in a South Indian film. A number of Bollywood actors have been experimenting with Southern films of late which marks as a great sign for filmmakers.
