The recent film of the renowned actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, “Shaakuntalam,” proved to be a commercial failure at the box office. The movie, directed by Gunasekhar, featured Dev Mohan in a pivotal role.
Amazon Prime Video obtained the digital streaming rights to this mythological drama and quietly released it on their platform today. The movie can be streamed in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Those who missed the film in theaters now have the chance to watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
Shaakuntalam also marked the debut of Arha Arjun, the daughter of Allu Arjun, who played a significant role in the film. The movie featured an ensemble cast including Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Aditi Balan, Gautami, Ananya Nagalla, Allu Arha, and Kabir Duhan Singh. It was produced by Neelima Guna and had music composed by Manisharma.
Critics and audiences alike were left disappointed with the movie’s special effects, as they failed to impress and made certain reality scenes appear cartoonish. This was particularly noticeable in the war sequences, which were intended to be intense and thrilling, but instead, came across as unrealistic and disorienting.
Samantha will next be seen in Kushi directed by Shiva Nirvana and the film has Vijay Devarakonda as the male lead.
