Thimmarusu Movie Review

STORY:

The story begins with the murder of a cab driver on the main road at midnight. An innocent man Vasu who reports the murder to police gets framed in the case by police and serves 8 years imprisonment. Lawyer Ramachandra(Satyadev) reopens the case. Who actually killed the cab driver and why Satyadev reopened the case forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES:

Satyadev has nailed it as always, his performance as a lawyer was top notch. Be it dialogue delivery, expressions or action scenes he stole the show. Versatile actor Brahmaji is impressive in supporting role and evokes laughs at regular intervals. The actor who played Vasu has delivered a good performance.

Priyanka Jawalkar is good in her role and looks glamorous. Jhansi does a good job with her role. Ajay as a cop has performed well. All other characters were short and justified their roles.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT:

Director Sharan has done a decent job with the film. He presented the story with a gripping screenplay and kept the suspense alive till the climax. Music by Sricharan Pakala is decent and the BGM is apt for the scenes.

Action sequences were composed well. Production values are good and the dialogues are effective. The cinematography is decent and the Editing is done properly.

PLUS POINTS:

  • Satyadev
  • Suspense
  • BGM

MINUS POINTS:

  • Lagging first half
  • Unnecessary elevation scenes

VERDICT:

Thimmarusu is a decent crime thriller that has some very good thrills and gripping moments in the second half. However, the narration goes slow in the first half with some unnecessary elevation scenes. The solid performance from Satyadev and the suspense aspect makes it a good watch for this weekend.
