C/o Kancharapalem fame Venkatesh Maha’s Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya starring Satyadev in lead role is now exclusively available on Netflix. The director’s first film received great applause for its realistic portrayal and that has created good hype for this film. Let’s see if the film was able to reach the expectations, here is the Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya Movie Review.

Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya Movie Review:

STORY:

Mahesh(Satyadev) is an easy-go photographer who does not encourage getting into fights and maintains a long-distance relationship with his childhood love. The story takes a sudden turn when Mahesh gets beaten by Jogi, a criminal in a nearby village.

Unfortunately, his lover Swati(Hari Chandana) gets married to someone else. He feels depressed and decides to take revenge on Jogi at any cost. Eventually, he falls in love with Jyothi(Roopa Koduvayur) who is the sister of Jogi. Whether Mahesh takes his revenge and gets his love forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES:

The performances of the whole cast was very natural and it gives you a feel of watching a story which is unfolding right around you. However, special mention should be given to Satyadev. It his best performance to date and he simply nailed it. His emotions were the heart of the film.

Roopa Koduvayur looks beautiful and she has done a great job too. Naresh was amazing in his Babji role. His presence generated good laughs. Comedian Suhas has done a good job and looked mature in his acting. TNR has done a small role and justified it.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT:

Director Maha Venkatesh should be applauded for giving us this feel-good emotional entertainer. Though the story is simple he presented it very well. The first half of the film was engaging with some few fun elements. The second half was a little dragged and some unnecessary scenes should have been edited. Also, the climax of the film feels rushed.

Music is an added advantage and blends well with the emotions. The dialogues in the film are very natural without any of the over-the-top filmy touch. Production values are good. Locations are simply superb. Screenplay should have better in the second half.

PLUS POINTS:

  • Satyadev
  • Music
  • First Half

MINUS POINTS:

  • Slow Second Half
  • Editing

VERDICT:

Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya is a family entertainer which is backed up by splendid performances. The First half of the film is good and keeps you engaged throughout but the second half slows the movie a bit with a premature climax.
